When it comes to face masks, I like to try them all. I even keep a drawer full of them. Clay masks, hydrating masks, clarifying masks, sheet masks. I typically do a mask once a day, sometimes twice. I love the instant gratification they provide; they’re the quickest way to hydrated, plump skin.
When I first read about Herbivore Blue Tansy mask last year, I was so excited. The chic packaging, list of ingredients and the promises of resurfacing and clarifying complexions lured me in. It did not disappoint!
Herbivore Blue Tansy Mask Review
Herbivore Blue Tansy Mask combines white willow bark (a natural form of salicylic acid), fruit enzymes, aloe leaf and blue tansy oil. Blue Tansy has been in the beauty spotlight lately thanks in part to its gorgeous translucent blue hue, soothing properties and its ability to reduce redness.
Together, these ingredients completely exfoliate and transform my complexion, leaving it clearer, smooth and hydrated.
The texture of the mask is a true gel and it’s easy to spread with clean fingertips or the applicator it comes with. The cooling sensation feels like a glass of water for your skin. There is a mild herbal scent to the mask, which I find oddly comforting.
When I first started to use this mask back in November, my complexion wasn’t at its finest. It was tired, stressed, and quite frankly, dull. This baby changed all of that. It also clears my skin of any bumps/texture (especially on the forehead) and helps active breakouts heal seemingly overnight.
The directions say to apply the mask everyday for 3-4 days and then reduce to a few times per week to maintain results. You only need to apply a thin layer, so a little goes a long way.
I leave it on for a half hour every other night (and remove with warm water and a clean, damp cloth) and wake up to smoother skin and an even glow.
This Blue Tansy mask is well worth the money and definitely one of my favorite beauty purchases in awhile. It’s the real deal and I’ve been recommending it to everyone I know!
